Hello!

I’m Holly, and will be your tour guide for Women Rock! I live in Sussex, UK with my partner Albie, son Jack, and our crazy little dog Arty! I currently ride a Harley-Davidson Sportster, with a flamed out tank and gold crown gas cap (I like to be understated!!) I run a biking blog via Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. My content varies from How-to’s’ whilst working on my own bike, to reviews, vlogs, and documentary style videos.

The best part about having an online platform on social media is being able to make connections, and for me that’s organising rides and events. Last year I held an ‘Introduction into Motorcycling for Women’ where aspiring riders and female instructors came along with the aim of getting more girls on two wheels – it was a great success!

I am honoured to have been invited by LemonRock to host and lead this amazing tour, we are going to have so much fun!!! I am so excited to meet you all and spend the week riding, relaxing, and making memories!

See you in Ireland!!

Itinerary

Explore the itinerary for our Women Rock Tour!

Arrival

Enjoy a complimentary chauffeur pick-up from Dublin Airport or a Dublin City Centre Hotel.

Once you arrive, check in at Knightsbrook – 4 star hotel and spa. If you are early, you can check out your bike and riding gear.

Kick back and enjoy the facilities of Knightsbrook Hotel, or use this time to discover Trim and it’s ancient Norman Castle dating back to the 1190s or early 13th century.

Tonight

Later this evening we will be hosting a complimentary drinks reception to give you an opportunity to meet Holly, the Lemonrock team, and your fellow riders for this motorcycle tour for women.

Day 2 – Hidden Heartlands

Enjoy a hot breakfast in Knightsbrook hotel before we set off on our first day of riding. Pack your bags, tonight we’re staying in the lively town of Killarney, Co. Kerry.

First things first!

  • We’ll start the morning off with a bike orientation to make sure you feel comfortable on your bike, have the correct riding gear and understand the routes on our Sat Navs. It’s a good idea to arrive early as this can take some time. (If you arrive early the day before, we can set you up with your bike then)

Let’s ride!

  • Today’s ride takes us through the Hidden Heartlands of Ireland as we ride southwest to the lively town of  Killarney.

  • Taking in a less traveled route west of Lough Derg in East Co. Clare, before a lunch stop in the quaint town of Killaloe, situated on the River Shannon.

  • Next we follow the Shannon estuary westwards to Foynes which is a fabulous biking road. Final leg south to the beautiful scenic view of Killarney Town.

Tonight

  • Check in to The Brehon, 4 star hotel and spa, to relax for the evening. You can book spa treatments in advance in the Angsana Spa or visit The Vitality Suite – a Vitality Pool, Hot Spa, Cold Spa, and Tropical Rain showers.
  • Enjoy a group dinner tonight, included in your tour.

Day 3 – The Ring of Kerry – 248km

Enjoy a hot breakfast in The Brehon hotel before we set off on our second day of riding. Pack your bags, tonight we’re staying in the lively town of Dingle, Co. Clare.

Today’s ride

  • Your route starts out on the famous Ring of Kerry, which is a “must do” on every visitors list while in the South West of Ireland. We ride the Ring in a clockwise direction so that you ride with the sea on your left and in the opposite direction of the coaches – it’s the perfect way to see the Ring of Kerry!
  • Riding with Kenmare Bay on your left, you’ll pass through Parknasilla and then we divert up to see Staigue Fort. Back onto the ring for Coomakista Pass which offers fantastic views over Kenmare Bay.
  • The Skellig Ring scenic drive starts in Waterville and takes in the wonderful Valentia Island accessed by bridge from the picturesque Portmagee and Ballinskelligs.
  • Valentia Island – The Valentia Island Tetrapod Footprints are the most extensive of the four Devonian trackways in the world. Riding down the island you’ll reach Knightstown where you can take a short ferry ride to Reenard Point back onto the mainland – with options for excellent lunch breaks in either town.
  • Cahirsiveen, Mountain Stage, Kells Bay, Glenbeigh – these are famous parts of The Ring of Kerry. You can switch off your intercoms and enjoy the spectacular views in silence!

Tonight

  • Dingle – Truly a gem of a town! Dingle is famous for its pubs and music night life so make the most of it, as you’ll be spending tomorrow resting with an option to ride.
  • Dinner is included!

Special Experience on your Rest Day in Dingle

Dingle is such a fun town and fondly thought of within Ireland. On this day you’ll have some time to relax, take part in a tasting experience with Lemonrock, or optionally do some more riding.

Optional Ride

Take a ride around Slea Head which offers spectacular sunsets. We will take this route tomorrow, but it’s beautiful to see both in the evening and morning.

Day 5 – Dingle to Lahinch – 217km

Say goodbye to the lovely town of Dingle and get ready for another day of riding!

  • If you chose not to ride Slea Head on your rest day, start early as this route is very popular with tourists! The Slea Head Drive is a circular route beginning and ending in Dingle, that takes in stunning views on the western end of the peninsula.
  • The Conor Pass is the highest mountain pass in Ireland, and provides the most dramatic and scenic way of entering or leaving Dingle. This narrow, twisting road runs between the town of Dingle and Kilmore Cross on the north side of the peninsula on through Castlegregory. It’s a lovely biking route but take time to stop and look back at the views! You’ll pass through Blennerville which was the main port of emigration from Co. Kerry to North America during the Great Famine.
  • Tarbert to Killimer Ferry – We prefer this route instead of riding up through Adare and Limerick, which we will see on the way home. You cross the Shannon Estuary leaving Kerry and crossing into Co. Clare. Here you will appreciate one of the many wonders of the Wild Atlantic Way, with ever changing scenery.

Tonight

  • We’ll be staying in another well regarded sea-side town called Lahinch – a surfers paradise! We’ll be here for 2 nights.

Day 6 – Ride out from Lahinch – 66km

In today’s ride you’ll visit:

  • The Cliffs of Moher in County Clare are Ireland’s most visited natural attraction with a magical vista that captures the hearts of one million visitors every year and are a Signature Discovery Point in the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way. They stretch for 8km as the crow flies, along the Atlantic coast of County Clare in the west of Ireland and reach 214m (702 feet) at their highest point. Evening is the best time to view the Cliffs, in our experience, as the sun sets west over the Atlantic.

Tonight

  • Group dinner is included!

Day 7 – Lahinch to Trim

You’ll be surprised by how the landscape can change in Ireland, today’s ride will be sure to include some exotic landscapes, only found in Ireland.

Tonight

  • Check in to Knightsbrook Hotel – 4 star hotel and spa.
  • Let’s get together one more time for a Farewell group dinner! We can’t wait to hear about the tour 🙂

Transported back to Dublin Airport or a Dublin City Centre Hotel.

Want to stay longer?

Let us know if you’d like to extend your stay in Ireland and we can organise more riding and accommodation for you.
